ROCKVILLE, MD. (Jan. 9, 2025) – The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) recently announced its annual list of Superintendents to Watch. This year, 25 superintendents from across the country were selected for the 2024-25 honor in recognition of their outstanding leadership in fostering meaningful, two-way communication with their community and strengthening outreach initiatives.
“These leaders exemplify the importance of transparent and collaborative communication in building trust with students, families, staff and community members,” said NSPRA Executive Director Barbara M. Hunter, APR. “Their dedication to embracing innovative communication and engagement strategies reflects their commitment to advancing their districts’ goals and strengthening relationships across their communities.”
NSPRA received a record 70+ nominations this year, showcasing an extraordinary pool of talented candidates, making the selection process very competitive. Since the 2015-16 school year, NSPRA has recognized 177 school district leaders as Superintendents to Watch. Honorees must have fewer than five years of experience as a superintendent and demonstrate dynamic, fast-paced leadership with strong communication at its core.
This year's honorees will be formally recognized at the NSPRA 2025 National Seminar in Washington, D.C. in July.
