NSPRA Social Media Guidelines

The goal of NSPRA social media accounts is to share important information about the association with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. It is also to help school communication professionals network and learn from each other. To help us accomplish these goals, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines.

  1. NSPRA social media accounts are not intended to circumvent regular communication channels for sharing personal issues or concerns. Comments/posts/replies regarding a personal issue with the association, its administration, Executive Board or staff members will be removed.
  2. Be respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate comments/posts/replies and profanity will be removed.
  3. Want to boost your product sales? Running for office? NSPRA social media accounts are not the place. Publish a personal social media account and leave ours for sharing news and insights about NSPRA.
  4. NSPRA social media accounts are dedicated to the success and improvement of the school communication profession. Please keep conversation related to that topic. Comments of all kinds are welcome as long as they directly relate to the profession and our association.
  5. Have a question for a specific employee? Please contact them privately to ensure a response.
  6. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False comments/posts/replies will be removed.
  7. NSPRA social media accounts are ours and we want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about NSPRA, its chapters, and school public relations in general. Just know, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or blocking or removal from our social media accounts.
