Nominations for the 2024 Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders recognition are now closed.
The nomination submission portal for the 2025 award will open in January 2025.
Through the Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders recognition program, NSPRA members and chapters can recognize individuals for their positive impact on colleagues’ careers and tireless work behind the scenes on behalf of education and improved communication.
For a minimum, tax-exempt gift of $75 to the Foundation for the Advancement of Education, you can nominate your mentor or colleague for recognition as a Learning and Liberty Legacy Leader. By honoring a mentor or colleague, you will also be supporting the NSPRA Foundation for the Advancement of Education in providing scholarships to the NSPRA Seminar and in its communication accountability research.
Those honored as Learning and Liberty Legacy Leaders will receive a special certificate and recognition on the NSPRA website as well as in the member recognitions during the Annual Meeting at the NSPRA National Seminar.
Eligible nominees must hold a current professional or professional partner membership with NSPRA and have been a member for a minimum of five years. Nominations of retired members and posthumous nominations are also acceptable, with the minimum membership requirement over the course of their careers.
Retired members who are working in school PR in some capacity (i.e., part-time or consulting), but who no longer maintain an NSPRA membership are not eligible for this recognition.
Any current NSPRA member may nominate a colleague for this recognition. A minimum, tax-exempt gift of $75 (U.S. currency) must accompany the nomination.
The nominating member (or chapter) will receive a certificate with the recipient’s name that is suitable for framing, along with a letter of commendation. Nominators are encouraged to schedule a special presentation to present the recipient with the award.
Recipients' names will be permanently listed on the NSPRA website and included in member recognitions at the Annual Meeting and Celebration of Achievement during the NSPRA National Seminar in July.
