Call 4 All: Volunteer With NSPRA and Make a Difference in School PR

Author: NSPRA Staff/Friday, March 1, 2024/Categories: News

Our members are the heart of NSPRA. Your work, breadth of unique and important experiences, and commitment to excellence in school public relations are a testament to both the association's longevity and bright future. That's why each year, we call on every member to consider serving as an NSPRA volunteer to help make a difference in your association.

NSPRA Executive Board Leadership Opportunities Starting in 2024

NSPRA’s Executive Board Search Committee (EBSC) is currently seeking candidates for the following elected Executive Board offices that will become available in October 2024:

  • President-elect
  • Southeast Region Vice President (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands)
  • Northwest Region Vice President (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, Alberta, BC, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Yukon)

Open to professional NSPRA members, service as an officer of the NSPRA Executive Board takes time and energy, but as past officers will attest, it's a chance to shape the future of our profession, gain governance experience and demonstrate your leadership skills at the national level.

Additional Ways to Volunteer

Did you know that NSPRA also needs as many as 100 association members annually to volunteer for service on committees, as awards judges and as association ambassadors? There are a variety of volunteer service opportunities to suit the unique professional interests and experiences of members. Volunteer service with NSPRA can provide you with:

  • National exposure as a school communication professional through NSPRA’s recognition of member volunteers;
  • Opportunities to hone professional areas of expertise;
  • Work that may qualify for continuing education units in the renewal process for accreditation in public relations;
  • Networking opportunities with fellow volunteers; and
  • The opportunity to give back to fellow members.
