NSPRA Academy Tracks for School Communication Professionals

Whether you're just starting out in the school PR field or have up to 14 years of experience, NSPRA Academy's New Professionals Track and Mid-Career Track provide specialized learning to help navigate the latest issues, challenges and trends in education and communication. Each track is tailored to align with levels of experience and include both virtual learning modules and in-person options.

New Professionals Track 

0-3 years of experience in school PR

The New Professionals track is ideal for:

🌟 Practitioners new to the communications field or who are in the early stages of their first communications role

🏫 School PR professionals who have a background in communications but are new to education

πŸ–‹οΈ Journalists-turned-school PR professionals

πŸ‘©‍🏫 School communicators who transitioned to the role from an education background

Learn the critical skills, training and knowledge important to the role like conducting research effectively, navigating the political realities of school boards and communities, crafting templates and resources to support daily and crisis communications, and much more.

NSPRA Academy Track for Superintendents Without a District Communications Staff

If you're a district leader without a communications staff, it's critical you stay up-to-date on best practices related to crises communication, new and innovative approaches to messaging, community engagement and more. 

Elevate your communication efforts this year by enrolling in the 2024-25 Superintendents Track of NSPRA Academy, the National School Public Relations Association program that takes a deep dive into some of the most important elements of school communication for superintendents who don't have a professional communicator on staff.

Participants will learn how to:

πŸ” Effectively review, measure and strengthen your district's current communication practices.

πŸ“ Develop a plan for consistent communication with employees across the district.

πŸ› οΈ Evaluate and leverage communication tools strategically to streamline efforts and elevate results.

🚨 Develop an effective crisis communication plan that includes processes and procedures, scripts and more.
