NSPRA members, if you have school public relations mentors whose support, counsel and guidance have made a difference in your career, nominate them for the 2023 Barry Gaskins Mentor Legacy Award!

This annual award is given in memory of Barry Gaskins, APR, an NSPRA past president who was known for his deep commitment to supporting and mentoring colleagues as well as for his passion for public education. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of a school PR professional who mentors and assists colleagues in their career development.

Eligible nominees must:

• Hold a professional-level membership in NSPRA.
• Belong to their state NSPRA chapter (unless nominee’s state has no chapter).
• Hold (or have held during their career) a full-time school PR position for a minimum of five years. 

Any professional-level member of NSPRA may submit one nomination, but current NSPRA Executive Board members and NSPRA staff are ineligible for nomination.

Nominations are due Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.
