During its annual meeting at the NSPRA 2021 National Seminar in July, the NSPRA Executive Board affirmed by acclamation three new members. They are Cathy Kedjidjian, APR, as president-elect; Phillip Campbell as Northwest Region vice president; and Cindy Warner, APR, as Southeast Region vice president. The new board members formally take office on Oct. 1.
Kedjidjian will serve as president-elect during the 2021-22 school year and assume the presidency in October 2022. She is the director of communications and strategic planning for Glenview School District in Glenview, Illinois.
Campbell will serve as a regional vice president for a three-year term from October 2021 to October 2024. He oversees community relations and communications for Bonneville Joint School District 93 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Warner will serve as a regional vice president for a three-year term from October 2021 to October 2024. She is the public relations and community education supervisor, Shelby County School District in Columbiana, Alabama.
At its regular meeting in July, the Executive Board also appointed Rhoda Mhiripiri-Reed, Ed.D., as NSPRA's next vice president at large—superintendents of schools. Dr. Mhiripiri-Reed is the superintendent of Hopkins Public Schools in Hopkins, Minnesota. She will serve as vice president for a two-year term from October 2021 to October 2023.
A total of 12 association members serve on the Executive Board. Their roles consist of a president; president-elect; vice president of diversity engagement; seven regional vice presidents; and two appointed vice presidents at-large, who represent different interest groups among our membership.
