Professional Development Accreditation in Public Relations Renewing Your APR

As of January 2022, professionals renewing their APR must accumulate a minimum of 15 continuing education units within a three-year period. (Learn more about APR renewal.) 

Following are just a few of the many NSPRA activities that accredited members can do to earn CEUs. 

• Attend the NSPRA National Seminar = 1 CEU per one-day session 
• Present a session at the NSPRA National Seminar = 0.5 CEU 
• Write an article for an NSPRA-member e-newsletter = 1 CEU 
• Serve as an awards contest judge for NSPRA = 1 CEU
• Serve as an APR mentor to a candidate (sign up in Mentor Match) = 2 CEUs 
• Serve as a module instructor for NSPRA’s APR Cohort = 2 CEUs 
• Attend a APR Cohort virtual meeting and serve as a volunteer breakout room host = 0.5 CEU 
• Serve as a module instructor for the joint AASA-NSPRA Leadership in School Communication (LISC) program = 1 CEU per module 
• Register for and participate in the LISC program = 0.5 CEU per module  
• Attend a LISC module and serve as a volunteer breakout room host = 0.5 CEU 
• Watch one of the ethics-themed webinars on demand available in the Professional Development section of this website (members only) = 0.5 CEU
