Located in the heart of the Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods of Washington, D.C., the Washington Hilton is an easy taxi, Metrorail or ride-share trip away from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) also serve the greater D.C. area.

Washington Hilton Reservations

The night of Tuesday, July 22 (with a departure on Wednesday, July 23) is currently sold out in NSPRA's host hotel room block. However, rooms for that date remain available outside of the block. If your selected dates are not available when booking, please try to make a reservation for fewer nights, and then you can call 1-800-HILTONS to inquire about adding an additional night to your reservation outside of NSPRA's discounted room block if you would like.  An overflow hotel with an NSPRA room block has also been added below.

Getting to and Around Washington, D.C. 

Get to D.C. by plane, train or automobile! However you plan to travel to the nation's capital, it's sure to be convenient.

There are three major airports in the Washington, D.C. region: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (airport code: DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (airport code: IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (airport code: BWI). 
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is closest to the Seminar host hotel. However, all three airports offer taxi, ride-share and train/metro transportation options to travel to the Washington Hilton.
If you’d rather travel to D.C. on the ground, we are just an Amtrak away. Amtrak offers large spacious seating, plenty of legroom, free Wi-Fi, onboard dining options and more. Plus, you can bring two carry-on pieces and one personal item, free of charge.
Amtrak has frequent daily departures from major cities throughout the Northeast, Southeast and even Chicago. Trains arrive at Union Station, bringing you to the heart of the city. 
Washington, D.C. has a grid road system like Barcelona, Spain and Paris, France. If you are driving around the District, traffic patterns may change due to rush hour/commuting times (generally 5-10 a.m. and 3-7 p.m.) or for construction. 

Getting Around in D.C. Via Metro

SmarTrip cardD.C.'s Metrorail, or "the Metro," as locals refer to it, is one of the most efficient ways to get around the nation's capital. The closest Metro station to the Seminar's host hotel is the DUPONT CIRCLE METRO STATION, serviced by the Red Line. 

SmarTrip cards are used to pay fares on the Metro, which are variable depending on time-of-day and distance traveled. Ways to purchase a SmarTrip card include:

  • Purchasing a physical SmarTrip card online that can be shipped directly to you. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority advises to anticipate at least 5 business days for order delivery.
  • Via your Mobile Wallet (Apple Wallet for iPhones and Apple watches or Google Wallet for Android) for a touch-free experience.
  • A SmarTrip card is also available for purchase via the Seminar registration form. The card will be provided to you upon check in at the Seminar registration desk in Washington, D.C.
  • SmarTrip cards can also be purchased in and around D.C. via vending machinesauthorized retailers and Metro sales offices.
  • Download the DC Metro and Bus App on your mobile device for Metro maps and realtime arrival information for all Metro stations.

Why does booking my hotel require a one-night deposit?

The NSPRA National Seminar has grown significantly over the years. To increase registered attendees' ability to reserve within NSPRA's main block, a one-night deposit will be applied to the credit card used at the time of booking. This is meant to help as many registered attendees as possible stay at the host hotel and enjoy the full Seminar experience. 

What happens to my one-night deposit if I need to cancel my room later?

The cancellation policy, as detailed on the hotel's booking website, is that, "A one (1) night deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will forfeit one night's room and tax. Should you not be travelling with the credit card associated with your booking, please contact the Hilton Accounting & Finance Help Desk to establish an authorization no later than one (1) week prior to arrival.  What if the NSPRA room block at the host hotel sells out before I am able to reserve a room?

If the NSPRA room block at the host hotel sells out, additional room blocks at nearby properties will be announced and posted to this page.

What if I need to make changes to my hotel reservation?

Once you receive your hotel confirmation, you are free to connect with the hotel directly to make adjustments to your stay. Be sure to reference the hotel confirmation number when making adjustments.

Am I able to book my hotel via the Seminar room block before registering for the Seminar?

Yes. You may reserve your hotel room either before or after registering for the Seminar.

Will my credit card be charged at the time of booking?

A  one-night deposit will be charged. The remaining balance will not be charged at the time of booking. It will be charged upon your hotel stay. Please ensure you review the hotel cancellation policy carefully.
